Heading to Florida

While we were in San Antonio for Thanksgiving we also went to a Mexican wedding, celebrated my 65th birthday and then took a week and went to Mazatlan.  While we were in Mazatlan the weather was absolutely beautiful.  Low 80's every day. That gorgeous view is the view from our window in Mazatlan as well as the sunset. We went zip lining and took another tour of the city.  We had a lovely time.  In Alabama we stopped at a ship yard and took a tour of the SS Alabama and a submarine.  That was very interesting.  For my birthday Tom bought me a 3 speed 3 wheel bicycle that folds up when we travel in the back of my car. Teddy and I both love it. We will be in Port Richey tomorrow.  Will talk to you soon.  Our friends are making all kinds of plans for us.  Will talk to you soon.  Patty & Tom

Tale end of E-Town, Kentucky, St. Louis and Branson, Missouri

I guess it's time I catch up on my blogging.  Before we left E-Town, Tom and I went to some more wineries and went to Horse Caves. They even let Teddy Bear go down in this one.  He was not overly impressed.  Then Erika, Julia and I went to the 3 Sisters for a Tea Party.  We had a delightful afternoon.  We took Andy and Erika out to dinner because they have been treating us to so many scrumptious meals at their home while we were there.  They are awesome host's. That is quite the motor cycle made out of wine kegs that Tom is sitting on.

We had to go to the Anheuser-Busch Brewery (Budweiser) for a tour again when we stopped in St. Louis.  Hey, you get free beer out of it and you get to see the horses.

We went to Branson, MO. and saw 3 shows.  We were here 3 nights and 4 days.  We saw Hamner's Unbelievable Variety Show.  It is a great Magic show.  We loved it.  The next night we saw Jonah.  What an awesome musical.  It was spectacular.  We even had a life sized whale float above us in the audience.  It was amazing.  Tonight we saw Shoji Tabuchi.  He is the most gifted violinist.  So enjoyable to listen too.  The whole show was good and fun to watch.  That picture of the billard room is part of the men's bathroom in the Shoji theater.

I have enclosed a picture of the frozen waterfalls alongside the cliffs here in Branson, just to let you know how cold it is here. BRRR!!

Halloween is here in Elizabethtown, Kentucky

Tom and I have been enjoying ourselves with Andy and family.  This is the view outside our motor home window.  Teddy was so excited when we got here.  This is squirrel heaven.  He makes sure that the squirrels stay in the trees where they belong.  He has a ball chasing them back up into the trees. Yesterday we went to several wineries.  Yum!  They make some really good wine here.  We went to a trunk or treat the other night.  Everyone got dressed up in costume.  Amelia makes a very cute fairy. The weather was really nice when we got here but it has turned cold on us.  Not so nice.  We might have to leave soon.  Darn we have enjoyed visiting with the kids.  From here we are heading to Branson, MO.  Talk to you soon.  Patty & Tom.

Our tale end trip from North Dakota.

Our friends Gary & Bev Tibke took us all over the southern part of North Dakota.  We saw Lawrence
Welk's farm.  Believe it or not these are my relations.  Then we traveled up to Minot and visited with Tom's sister Clarice and his neice Diane and saw my uncle Eddie and cousin Joannie.  He is a dear.  From there we went to South Dakota and visited another of his sister's.  We both come from very large families.  From there we headed to Kentucky to visit our son and family. Talk to you soon.  Patty & Tom

We are in Bismark, ND

We have had beautiful weather to date.  We went to the North Dakota Heritage Center yesterday.  It is like a minny Smithsonian.  We enjoyed our visit with our daughter and family in Kalispell, MT

. It was definitely to short.  We stopped and had a quick lunch with Tom's sister in Billings, MT. What do you think of Tom's new car, we wish!  It is Tom's sister's boyfriends.  He is a collector of unique and unusual cars.  He has many.  They are all this gorgeous.  We are enjoying our visit with our long time friends in Bismark.  We will be heading to Minot, ND first of the week to visit family on Monday. Talk to you soon.  Patty & Tom

We are getting ready to hit the road again.

As soon as we got back to Cheney I got involved with StageWest and was ready to start with my play.  I finally finished my play, "Daddy's Dyin' Who's Got The Will".  I usually just direct theater, but this time one of my actors got sick mid stream so I decided instead of recasting I would just do the part myself.  In the process I also got to sing A Capella. That definitely was not on my bucket list of things to do in public. Tom was my Stage Manager and he was great as usual.  I could not have done my job without his help.  Some of the other directors have hinted very loudly that they would like to kidnap him for future plays, that is how good he is at building sets.
We will be leaving Friday morning and heading east, first to visit our daughter and family in Kalispell, MT and hopefully some family and friends in North Dakota before we head towards Kentucky to visit with our son and family.

Enjoyed spending our time in Tucson.

On our way to Tucson we stopped at Sonora Caves.  They were beautiful.  We have enjoyed our short visit with my brother Jack and his family over Easter.  The air is so dry here even Teddy is experiencing bad hair days.  From here we are heading to Phoenix to visit Tom's sister Kay.  Talk to you soon.  Patty & Tom
