Some of the fun things we have done in E-Town

We have been doing some fun stuff in E-Town.  Alex received some awards in Boy scouts.  Andy, Erika, Alex, Tom and I went on a Haunted Train ride.  It was fun.  Erika, Tom, Teddy and I went to the Lost River Caverns.  Which is by boat. We also had a nice hike that day, Erika and I discovered the Mad Hatters Tea Party and decided to drop in for a cup of tea.  We had a trunk or treat at their church.  We all got dressed up and decorated their car.  The little kiddies were so cute.

Our Great Grandbaby

She is adorable to say the least.  Her name is Amelia Jane.  We are not proud Great Grandparents.  No suree, but she sure is cute. She is a very good little girl.  She hardly ever cries or even fusses.  She looks a lot like her daddy, but you know how they can change so quickly.  We should be here another week or so visiting with our son Andy and family here in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.

Plimoth and Boston

Did you notice I spelled Plimoth a little differently.  This is how the settlers spelled it back in the 16 and 1700's.  We discovered that the Pilgrims had absolutely nothing to do with Thanksgiving, Abraham Lincoln did.  Just a few years later, give or take.  Seeing how the Pilgrims and Indians lived back then was very interesting.  We got to be on a replica of the Mayflower. It is hard to believe that they had 120 people on that ship, and they were never allowed on deck.  Contrary to history they did not get along with the Indians either.  We got to go to Cheers and have a drink.  No, nobody knew our name.  We saw the "Constitution" from a distance.  We drove past Fenway Park.  We participated in Boston Teaparty.  We stood in the room where the American Revolution started.  We just got to Kentucky and have not seen our Great granddaughter yet.

Lobster in Maine

Driving thru' Maine- Rain, rain go away, come again some other day.  Hope we get our sunshine back.  Doesn't make us want to to stop and sight see, that is for sure.  Tom is determined to eat Lobster in Maine.  We finally stopped and had our Lobster.  I think I will stick to my crab legs in the future.  There is something about Lobster body that is just gross.  Yuk!  We are now in Boston and CapeCod area.  Will fill you in later.  Talk to you soon.  Patty & Tom

Our time in New York and New Hampshire has been wonderful.

The fall colors have been so relaxing and gorgeous as we drive thru' them.  They are positively gorgeous.  Mother Nature is definitely putting on quite a show.  The weather has been very nice, also.  We got to see apples pressed and had fresh apple juice.  We went boating in upper state New York with good friends .  The weather was in the mid 70's.  Everyone is decorating for Halloween here. In the middle of all this our great granddaughter was born.  Amelia Jane McMillan, on Oct. 3rd. We are headed to Kentucky to see her and family in about a week.  We thought we would let them get settled in before we bombarded them.  We even got to buy real maple syrup in New Hampshire.  We will tell about Maine and Massachusettes in our next blog.  Talk to you soon.  Patty and Tom
