Abilene & Fort Worth

We did a quick stop in Abilene & a couple of days in Fort Worth.  We are in the heart of Texas.  We discovered, we are in the heartland of windmills.  We went to Billy Bob's Texas for our anniversary and discovered we just are not honky tonk enough for them.  We went to the Frontier West Museum, which we found to be very interesting.  They showed us a skull of a long horn, of which we were to believe that they grow them even bigger in Texas.  We went to downtown Fort Worth and they are getting ready for Christmas.  It was very pretty.  Talk to you soon.  Have a nice Christmas!  We are headed to San Antonio to spend it with friends.  Patty & Tom

Roswell & Aliens

Well we took the time to visit the UFO museum in Roswell.  It was a hoot!  It is believable that they had a UFO sighting in 1947.  I even have pictures to prove it.  From here we are headed to Abilene, TX.  Talk to you soon.  Patty & Tom

Carlsbad Caverns

We walked our legs off in Carlsbad Caverns, but it was so worth it.  They are as beautiful as I have always heard.  The bats have all flown south for the winter, so we did not get to see them.  But I have some stunning pictures for you to see.  This is the mountain range as we came into New Mexico.  It was pretty awesome.  The black hole I am standing in front of, Tom & I will go down 750 feet, which is about a 1 &1/2 mile hike down hill.  Thank goodness it is an elevator ride back up. From them looking like hot fudge sundaes to icecycle trees to forlorne lovers to just beautiful ice sculptures.  Wow!  This we did as a self guided tour later on we went on a guided tour into another part of the cave.  We are thinking about going to Rosswell, NM.  Talk to you soon.  Patty & Tom

Our time in Tuscon

We have had a lovely time in Tuscon.  We got to see the hawks in flight at the Sonora Desert Museum.  They were awesome to see.  We went to the Pima Air Museum.  I enjoyed seeing the Guppy and the Stealth Fighter.  We saw many other planes to say the least.  Those 3 dogs belong to Jack, Helen and Angela.  Their names are Luke, Daisy and Remington.  Aren't they cute.  We have spent the last week enjoying the company of my brother and his family.  They are wonderful people.  I took a picture to show you that the price of gas truly is below $3.00 a gallon in certain parts of the country.  It has dropped even lower since I took that picture, and yes, I have put up my Christmas tree in the motor home.  It looks very nice.  Thank you very much! Love the weather down here.  70 or 80 during the day, it does get a bit chilly at night though.  I guess that is okay, it is winter, right.   Talk to you soon. Patty & Tom

Las Vegas, & Phoenix

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you but we have been having just to much fun.  We saw a dust storm on our way down to Las Vegas. That picture is of Walker Lake.  It is so pretty, right out in the middle of the desert, the same with those white mountains. Those pictures I took as we were driving at 65 miles an hour down the freeway, not bad, huh!  We decided to just keep on driving.  We went to Las Vegas to visit some very good friends and went to another Murder Dinner mystery.  They have never been and thought this would be a good time to do it, because our being involved in theater.  We had a very fun evening.  They want to have more theater experiences.  I told them to check into the local colleges.  In Phoenix we spent some time again with family.  It is so amazing that they grow cotton in that area.  We just arrived in Tucson.  The weather is in the low 80's,  I love it.Talk to you soon.  Patty & Tom

Enjoyed family in Reno, onto Las Vegas

We saw Tom's family in Reno and discovered that it is cold here in the winter at night.  Brrr!  It gets as cold at night here as it did at home.  Just no snow.  We did a little gambling one day and more than doubled our money.  We only spent $20.00, but hey we came out $40.00 ahead, I would say that was a good days profit.  !00% in my mind is not so bad.  He also played the game of "Chicken in the Pot" and won me a very large Xmas Moose.  So we had fun in downtown Reno.

Sacramento has been wonderful

We have surely enjoyed our stay here visiting with family.  We spent the time checking out Old Sacramento. We took in a Suspense Dinner Theater on the Delta King.  We had so much fun.  We got to spend time with my brother and his family and Tom's brother and his family.  The weather has been in the mid 60's the entire time we have been here.  Cannot beat that.  It rained one day, not to bad, even that day it stayed quite warm.  Much better than below freezing and or snow.  Tom helped my brother put up Xmas lights in a t-shirt.  Much better than being all bundled up and freezing cold, I would say.  From here we are headed to Reno, NV.  Talk to you soon.  Patty & Tom

Coos Bay, Oregon

We have had the most beautiful weather the entire time we have been here.  It has been sun shining the entire time we have been here.  It is supposed to rain tomorrow, I guess that would mean we should load up and head further south. We have sure enjoyed the balmy weather.  My brother and sister in law have taken us to some of the most enjoyable fish eating places.  Yum!  That is the joy of living right on the ocean.  Crab, shrimp, cod, tuna, salmon, a regular smorgasbord.  Kathy and I spent the day in Bandon having a girls day out.  We thought the sign of the dog on the board walk was just to funny.  We had so much fun.  Talk to you soon.
