We are still in Port Richey, Florida

We are having so much fun here we are dragging our feet about going home.  We have gone to the State Fair in Tampa.  I got to feed a Giraffe.  It was way to cool.  I also fed a llama.  Then he sneezed on me. Go figure. Tom got to sing with an up and coming singer, she was great, he was having a ball.  We went fishing out on the ocean and caught lots of fish.  I enclosed a picture of me and my fishing buddies.  We spent a day out on a sand dune with lots of our friends and had a wonderful luncheon catered to us.  We drank, danced and played the whole day away. It was a truly enjoyable day.  The weather was in the high 70's.  We went to a Lobster feed and Tom got to eat his fill, again.  We had USA day.  Tom, Teddy and I were all in it. Port Richey, FL

We have been so busy having fun that I have not taken the time to do my blog.  What with shopping, and going out to lunch with the girls, happy hour every after noon at 4 pm and various outings, we have really been busy and have been having lots of fun.  We went to the Gasparilla Parade in Tampa.  It was a regular flotilla of ships and boats, what fun.  We saw lots of pirates and I wound up with lots of beads.  No, I did not have to do anything risque to get them!  We have taken a river cruise and a boat cruise to date.  The weather has finally gotten really nice.  It is in the high 70's and low 80's.  It is wonderful.  We had a super bowl party last night.  Yeah the Seahawks won! Our time in Fort Myers, Florida

We have enjoyed our time in the southern part of Florida.  We finally got to experience the temperatures in the low 80's.  It has been great.  It rains almost every night, but that is okay.  We went to The Ford Edison Winter Estate.  They have several of Edison's inventions.  Plus we learned a lot about his home life.  His wife and he loved botany.  They were great friends with Henry Ford and family. We also went to Sanibel Island.  What a wonderful place to play.  It has all the flavor of Mexico but you are still in the States, and white sandy beaches everywhere.  We also drove all the way to Key West.  That was a 5 hour drive from where we are staying.  Tom wanted to sit in the bar on the beach and have a beer.  Guess what.  The beach is all gated communities.  He was not happy.  So we went to Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville and had a drink and called it good.  We have met some very nice people in this RV park.  One little girl Heidi and Teddy have struck up a very nice friendship.  She wants to take him for lots of walks.  He really hates it.  Yeah, right!!  She is all of 3 years old.  Talk to you soon.  We are headed to Port Richey, FL. from here.  Patty & Tom

Getting ready to leave San Antonio

We have enjoyed our time in San Antonio, but it is time to leave and go onto warmer climates.  We had a wonderful time New Years Eve with our friends.  The guys watched football.  Surprise! Surprise!  Us girls played Candyland with Zak, who is 6.  Guess what we decided that is a horrible game.  You cannot win, no matter what you keep falling down those stupid slides.  We finally all quit after about 45 minutes of trying to get somewhere.  We were all back at the beginning of the game.  Our campground put on a wonderful pancake feed New Years Day, complete with bloody Marys.  They sure made everything taste better.  We are headed to Florida and warmer weather, we hope.  Ruffles, Archie and Gails parrot fluffed himself up real pretty for me so I got a nice picture of him.  Talk to you soon.  Patty & Tom

We went on a wonderful cruise to the Caribbean

We had a wonderful time on our cruise.  We went to Cozumel, Roatan and Belize.  We met some wonderful people and did a lot of new and wonderful things.  We went swimming in some underwater caves and finally had an opportunity to go on an air boat ride. They were decerating the ship for Christmas when we left.  We are getting ready to to celebrate Christmas in San Antonio with our friends.  Talk to you soon.  Patty & Tom

Getting ready for Christmas

Well we are really getting ready for Christmas.  The weather even feels like it down here.  It is cold and kind of dreary out these days. If you notice even the birds are cold.    Archie celebrated his 60th birthday which is a mile stone. We enjoyed Thanksgiving with Jason, Rachel and Zak and their family who are neighbors of Archie and Gails .  We took the time to see Shirley Stewart and long time friend of ours from Cheney that now lives in Schertz.  She is finally recovering.  Everyone's prayers have been answered.  She is a tough little lady. We helped some of our friends decorate their tree the other night.  It was fun.  Tom and Jason really got into it, even the dogs got decorated.  We have this really big tree in our motor home, from base to angel top it is about 2 ft. tall, but it looks really cute.  Plus we hung our stockings with care.  Hey, we are ready for Santa! We are going on a cruise to the Western Caribbean down to Belize.  We leave the 14th of December.  Hopefully, we will find some warm weather there. Talk to you soon.  Love to you all.  Patty & Tom
